Seva is selfless service and you are spiritual people. Serve the spirit of others. You will be bountiful, blissful and bright. Yogi Bhajan 1/17/93

Seva is to be of service, this can be natural for you but for someone else it can be a challenge. To be of service, to practice and to experience, there is Karma Yoga at the Festival, helping or also called ‘corvee’.

To give everyone that experience of selfless service, to give 1/10 of your time to the universe, during the festival you spend 1 1/2 to 2 hours on Karma Yoga. For example cutting vegetables, handing out food, cleaning etc. You can go for something familiar, something that you like or you can challenge yourself!

The Missel

Every morning at 10 o’clock there is a meeting with the group you work with, this is called DE MISSEL. Here is explained what exactly you are going to do, where you start and at what time. It is your little “family” at the festival among all the people there, you can ask your questions and you will get information about the festival in your missel.

“You will never find a community leader who doesn’t know how to give—Seva.  Giving is the only way. Don’t give only to those who ask. Give to those who don’t ask. Keep on giving. Become a giver. Your faculty and God’s faculty will become the same. That’s absolute divinity”. Yogi Bhajan 9/4/01

“Seva means selfless service. It’s the character of Santa Claus, giving gifts without asking for anything”. Yogi Bhajan 12/25/92

For Sevadars who have been to a Yoga Festival before, there is the Seva STAFF team. A wonderful opportunity to serve the Sangat! These tasks start in the morning the day the festival starts (Thursday, December 19). It brings responsibility to the festival and contributes to a good group awareness. The Seva takes 4 or 8 hours a day. You will probably miss part of the program. Through your selfless action, the effect of the festival will be the same (or even more intense).

Discount Festival price

There is a limited possibility to receive a half or full discount on the festival price * by participating in the Seva STAFF. In gratitude from the organization for your selfless actions you get 50% discount on your festival ticket with a Seva task that takes about 4 hours a day and full discount for Seva that takes about 8 hours a day.

* (at the normal festival and bedroom price, not on the costs for the upgrade to a 2 or 3 person room)

“Serve people. Don’t expect results. Don’t put your harpoon into another person. Just serve. It will be an everlasting friendship”. Yogi Bhajan

Preparing food for more than 500 people can only go smoothly if you like to work in a team. And teamwork requires reliability and punctuality. The work in the kitchen is subdivided into different teams, such as cooking, breakfast, cutting, afternoon snack, dinner, tea, Golden milk and the dishes. All groups share the same place and tools, so we have to be on time to keep up with the festival schedule. In this way we can all be connected by staying relaxed and sharing the same smile. May we all understand there is one God; in His oneness He has given us one strength of breath of life. May we expand it to be pure, powerful and project to serve all human beings and life on this Earth, for the sake of goodness, so we may create an impact of good living, goodwill and good manners. L2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher, plus a teacher of Hatha and Yin Yoga. Trance Dance Facilitator and Physiotherapist. 26 years of experience in body, energy and consciousness work. A Healer.

2. Sat Nam Rasayan Healing: Several Healers

Sat Nam Rasayan is an ancient yogic form of healing from India and Tibet, the healing method of the Kundalini Yoga tradition. Sat Nam Rasayan literally means: Deep Relaxation in Truth. Kundalini Yoga is, among other things, meant to bring your mind to a pure state of Being, a state of Silence, Shuniya, in which perception is direct and compassion is also present. We use this state of being in the Sat Nam Rasayan for healing.
By working with the senses the healer wil get into a deep meditation and from this place contact is made with the client. Then resistance and blockages dissolve in the client and deep harmony is created.
If you get a healing you can relax, the healer wil touch you carefully. You don’t have to do anything except relax. The healer does the work with silence and awareness, attention and intention. A healing takes 15 to 20 minutes.

3. Karam Kriya Consult door verschillende KK Consulenten

“Numerology is the future of all counselling. It is the oldest system known to humanity, the most sacred and the most accurate. You can learn to change people’s destiny.”
-Yogi Bhajan-

4. Shiatsu Chair massage by Adelien and Sascha.

Just like last year, we will be present at the KundaliniYogaFestival NL again with our ergonomic massage chairs. We are going to give Shiatsu chair massages and follow Kundalini Yoga workshops.
A Shiatsu treatment with us takes half an hour. You are welcome to feel for a moment, enjoy and don’t have to do anything … a time out. Our professional hands bring peace, simplicity and do what is needed at that moment. You can just keep your clothes on, no oil is used.
– means thumb, connection and pressure,
– can you receive through the clothing
– a massage form is also referred to as pressure point massage,
– is like acupuncture, it is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In Chinese Medicine you work with Qi, the life energy that flows through the meridians, the energy channels through the body. The energy flow can be unbalanced or blocked for various reasons. Complaints arise when your body cannot repair the imbalance itself. Shiatsu and Kundalini Yoga have common ground. It opens the energy channels and the life energy can flow. The Kundalini Yoga and Shiatsu are connected to each other.
We hope to meet you for a Shiatsu chair massage or in a workshop at the Kundalini Yoga Festival in Baarlo!
Adelien Cobben:
In the 90s I already learned about the transforming power of the Kundalini meditations. I was pleasantly surprised when Rinske Freriks started teaching in Wageningen and I could pick up the thread again! In the meantime I had become a Shiatsu therapist and started to open myself more and more to the path which i still walk. I have experience of 10 years in my own practice and as a Shiatsu chair masseur at companies which has become my weekly work.
The basis of my treatment is Shiatsu , influences include Thai massage, breathing therapy, sounds and shamanism.
Sascha de Bock:

From my Indonesian roots I grew up with Pitjit, the Indonesian massage. Since 2000 I have trained in various Eastern massages and I have a practice at home in Bennekom. Since five years I also give chair massages. I am a certified NGS Wellnessmasseur, Company chair masseur and Shiatsu chair masseur. I also give my massages with genuine loving attention on pampering days in (Indonesian) homes, companies, fairs and festivals.
I am a member of the Dutch Society for Sport- and Wellnessmasseurs.

7. Ortho bionomy by Casper Sorenson

Ortho-Bionomy® helps people break the cycle of pain–without causing pain. It is very effective for recovering from injuries, surgery, and stress. It aids recovery by reducing muscle tension, soothing the joints, increasing flexibility and range of movement, improving circulation and relaxing the entire body.
Ortho-Bionomy works by addressing structural imbalances leading to pain and discomfort. Using gentle contact and positioning around related trigger points, the nervous system signals the body to release holding patterns. The results are powerful, effective and lasting.
Treatments are fully clothed and they are hands-on typically but with varying degrees of density.  Working and educating the nervous system to enhance proprioception, create pattern awareness and alternatives for those patterns, this work has the depth to be integrated for actual change in the body.
What is An Ortho-Bionomy Session Like?

Typically, Ortho-Bionomy sessions last approximately an hour. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is suggested to allow a full range of motion. Casper works with you to identify areas of discomfort, tension, and pain as well as areas of comfort and ease of movement. Gentle movements, comfortable positioning, brief compressions, and subtle contacts are used. No forceful movements or pressures are used.
Is Ortho-Bionomy Right For Me?

Whether you are looking for relief from specific discomfort or a safe and effective way to ease stress and promote relaxation, Ortho-Bionomy can be very beneficial. Ortho-Bionomy is compatible with all healing systems.
